By the looks of things at last week’s NYFW, the collective obsession with leather doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. And while designers like BCBG and Rachel Zoe are loving the edgy fabric for their fall collections, we can safely plan on it sticking around through the spring and summer. Though the idea of leather on a warm day may not sound appealing, it can be completely wearable, given the right pieces – and there are plenty of those pieces to choose from. Warm weather leather is everywhere right now, particularly in the form of tanks and tees and perforated (read: breathable!) skirts and shorts. Also, pastel or brightly-hued leather is another way to keep your leather seasonally appropriate. So click through the slideshow to shop our picks for spring and summer leather. Plus, you can feel good about this investment, because it’ll take you straight into fall.
