I am a big fan of Reese Witherspoon‘s wardrobe – the woman knows how to pull together a polished look day or night, rain or shine. While stepping out for errands in Beverly Hills this weekend, Reese even showed what to wear on a coffee run (Christina Aguilera, are you listening?) wearing patterned shorts, a layered white tee and cashmere crew neck, delicate jewelry and square shades. She looks so effortlessly chic, I want to try it:

You can’t go wrong with having at least one J.Crew Cashmere crewneck tee in navy ($145) in your closet. Wear it with skinny jeans and a white tee, or a skirt and oxford for simple, preppy, classic look.

I love how Reese’s long white tank gives the look a casual edge; always layer tops and tanks with this comfy, extra long Splendid Stretch Sheer Layering Racerback tank ($41).

The shorts really make Reese’s outfit and so will these Trina Turk Gazebo Trellis Seedling shorts in navy ($148). Pair them with a white tank all summer, then a cashmere sweater for early fall.

Reese created a girly element by adding a gold pendant; this Nadri Snowflake Pendant necklace ($48) is very polished and pretty – just like the actress herself.

Top of the sophisticated daytime look with oversize, square glasses like these MARC BY MARC JACOBS Oversized Square sunglasses ($98).
