Remember Shrugs? Now Hosiery For Arms Are Taking Their Place

With fall in full swing, I’m no stranger to wearing tights regularly—but hosiery for our arms? That’s something I’ve yet to consider.

According to the London Evening Standard, “A recent survey found that 75 per cent of women hated their upper arms more than any other part of their body,” making the case for Armery, which is apparently “flying off the shelves” at UK stores like Debenhams.

Not only is the garment meant to cover up the upper arms—but it’s also meant to shape and tone them, much like traditional shapewear.

Designed by Mary Portas and wife Melanie Rickey, the arm hosiery retails for £17.50 (just under $30) a pair and comes in solid, opaque, and translucent designs.

We found Armery for sale online here. Or, be sure to check out our shapewear shopping guides or guide to the best Spanx.
