Roommates 101: 8 Things You Should Stash In Your Room
July 27, 2015
Having a roommate can be the best or worst time of your life, but sometimes it’s just the only option in order to afford your lifestyle. If living with someone else is your last resort here are some things to keep in your room to avoid any drama:
What happens when you get your monthly visitor and you reach into the box to find that all your tampons are gone? No bueno!
Hanging your towel in the bathroom seems like the right place for it, but if you are sharing a bathroom with your roommate it’s probably not such a good idea. If you don’t have a hand drying towel, your shower towel might be used in its place. Gross!
Ever had to run out of the house real quick to let the trash out or get the mail? Well, normally you’d grab the first pair of shoes you’d see! Make sure your roommate doesn’t take yours by keeping your shoes in your room!
Accidents happen, and those accidents can lead to a broken laptop, Kindle, etc. Make sure to keep all your devices safe in your room!
Just like tampons, no one wants to plan to do laundry only to realize there’s no detergent left. Laundry is stressful enough already, don’t make it worse on yourself.
6. Hair products
Depending on what kind of hair you have, products can be extremely expensive. Nothing is worse than waking up and not wanting to wash your hair, reaching for the dry shampoo bottle, and finding it to be empty.
In general, sharing makeup is a big no-no. Bacteria hides in brushes which means you’re trading germs whenever someone else uses yours. Not to mention, sharing eye makeup can lead to infections.
Never leave your headphones out! Most look the same (we’re talking about the white ones from Apple, obvs) and can easily get mixed up. No one can go on a run without headphones.
