We admit it — we’re baffled. Recently, we’ve seen women walking to work in expensive silk shirts, tailored blazers, designer shoes, custom-made sunglasses…
Shorts for work? Sure, it’s much more comfortable than summerweight wool, and if you’ve worked all winter on gorgeous gams, now is the time to show them off. On the other hand, a skirt is just as breezy, and doesn’t make you look like you wandered into the office straight from a clambake. Not to mention that $188, like the shorts shown here, seems a hefty price to pay for work pants that barely clear your knees. Even the department-store tutorials on how to wear shorts to work read like they’re trying to come up with a reason shorts look good and can’t manage it. That can’t be a good sign.
What do you think? Are career shorts a summer miracle or a casual disaster?
