Well, here I am again, back at the tents. Everything's starting to blend together now in my head. What show am I going to? Oh that’s right, Rosa Cha, the famous Brazilian swimsuit designer (think glamazon models with negative BMI in really tiny bikinis). Anyway, I’m ready to get in having had my name embarrassingly "left off the list" at the Gottex show. That still stings.
After standing in line for about twenty minutes, I get into the cattle drive where I'm pushed along and given a seat. No seriously, as in an actual chair, not standing behind a chair where seated guests look at you like “Oh, the little people.” We are movin’ on up!
The goody bag is fab, I must say. Rosa knows how to treat her guests. A beautiful, wildly-printed gift bag and throw pillow rest on each seat. Freebies rock!
I don’t know if it’s the fact that this is a swimsuit show or what, but it seems like every woman in the room is wearing huge, dark sunglasses. There is also lots of long hair and almost everyone in a chair is wearing a trapeze or dropped-waist dress. It’s like Rachel Zoe styled all the invitees.
The big takeaway from Rosa Cha (besides the gift bag, of course)? Monokinis are back. And bright, bold embroidery and embellishment on the suits is also in. White suits with crystals, bright Miami-Vice pastels and everything 80’s glam is definitely going to be hot this coming summer.
We suggest getting ahead of the game by grabbing this adorable Seahorse Terri Halter Bikini by Rosa Cha, on sale for a remarkable $39 at 2hotbrazil.com. Buy it now and use it as incentive to stay in shape (or get in shape) for next summer.
Speaking of shape, I think I’ve lost at least five pounds running from event to event. I’m on my way to grab something to eat or I might be able to model in this show next season.
PS: One noteworthy celeb sighting — Mena Suvari. She was cute with a very…interesting G.I. Jane haircut.
