SheFinds First Look: The Gap’s European Collection
October 2, 2007
Remember when The Gap was synonymous with slightly boring yet wearable all-American basics? Lately they've really been funking it up — presumably in an effort to stand out from Banana Republic up the chain and Old Navy down the line — and never more so than with their new limited edition European Collection . This line is still very wearable, but out-of-the-ordinary silhouettes and lovely details (petite ruffles, higher waists, and pintucking) make for a certain je ne sais quoi that will add some affordable flair to your fall wardrobe. As with all these capsule collections (Target anyone?) everything is a wee bit pricier than you might expect. However, since it is "limited" edition, it's worth picking up a few pieces now instead of waiting until everything goes on sale (my usual MO with all things Gap). Here are a few top picks:
Sweater dress, $78
Tie-neck pintuck top, $88
Then I'm not sure about this splurge — is it worth $350? What do you think?
Leather bomber jacket, $350
