FYLO (For Your Lips Only) resolves any gloss drama with their virtually endless options to mix and match. Shine by day, amp up the color at night- you can go from from carefree career girl to sex kitten without a multitude of tubes and tubs.
Lip colors are infused with bergamot oil which gives off a faint, citrusy scent. (Tastes good too.) The glosses each have their own blends, like the pink grapefruit of the ‘Lullaby’ gloss. I’m partial to the sheer ‘Stretto’ and its candy cane-like peppermint oil which makes your lips tingle and shine. The colors and glosses come in tiny cubes (8.00) that can be carried solo but are designed to easily pop in and out of their compacts (10-14.00), or “cubicles.” I love the cube idea, you can buy a bunch of colors that suit you then pop in the colors you want on any given day to match your mood. And it all fits into a neat, sleek black compact.
I’m also impressed with the fluidity of the lip pencils. No jerky, crooked lines drawn on these lips. They are named after operatic divas like ‘Mimi’ from La Boheme. Tucked inside the box, like a fortune, is a line from the heroine’s opera. The pencils fit inside the compact, no digging around for multiple tools to get your pout pretty.
FYLO is a lip luxury brand with emphasis on the individual. Heidi Harris, Associate Concertmaster for the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra founded FYLO with her husband Erik.
