Lauren “LC” Conrad of Laguna Beach fame scored a mega-watt internship at Teen Vogue in LA and we went along for the ride on The Hills. (Don’t pretend like you didn’t watch her fret as she tried to balance school and her “job” while attempting a mature relationship with Jason “I’m not doing anything so I’ll be on TV again” Wahler.) The Hills’ editors were spot-on smart. Amazingly, Lauren’s life mirrored that of Andy’s in The Devil Wears Prada. Only Lauren chose her boy over Paris. (FYI: They broke up. Again.)
Now you can live the life of Andy and LC.
Teen Vogue’s Fashion University is in session October 27 – 29 in New York City. The seminars include industry pros Tim Gunn from Project Runway, top photog Roman Barrett, Simon Dooney of Barney’s, Michelle Sanders of Juicy Couture, and designers like Rebecca Taylor and Derek Lam.
However, there’s an age limit on this fab weekend of fashion education. Conde Nast does not list application requirements but when you go to apply, the first thing you must do is enter your birthdate. Ouch. Girls born after 1985 seem to be eligible, so basically you better be in college if you want to break into the biz of beauty and fashion.
