Two Philadelphia staple department stores will close this spring: Lord and Taylor in the old Wanamaker building, and Strawbridge’s in Center City. Both owned by Federated Department Stores, they will close their doors on June 1. The good news: Lord and Taylor will reopen as a Macy’s in two months’ time.
