SheFinds Poll: Capezio-Style Jazz Shoes

Americans fancy dance clothes. I think the trend started when Gwyneth Paltrow wore the ballet pink Calvin Klein dress to the Oscars several years ago (and won) because it certainly didn’t start with Lara Flynn Boyle. Nicole Richie made leggings and ballet flats all the rage in 2006, and let me take this opportunity to give her a HUGE thank you. Nothing looks more flattering on a woman than skin-tight pants that accentuate every hill and valley. Now trendsters are taking it a step-ball-change further by sporting Capezio-style jazz booties, with skinny jeans or leggings (go figure). Zappos.com has a wide selection. If forced, I would go for the canvas/leather split sole in caramel or the black Capezio jazz boot (both pictured above).

There’s always a way to straddle the trend fence, like with the Jeffrey Campbell hybrid; is it flat? Is it a lyrical dance shoe (which is really just a gladiator sandal)? Is it a jazz shoe? Who knows, but it has potential. What do you think?
