In the early 90's I may have been caught wearing frosty pink lipgloss, but that was my limit. (I still cringe at those photographs.) But walking down the city streets today, it seems as if almost every gal has plastered her face with something shimmery. If you can believe it, they're often on their way into the office!
Ladies, listen up and put down that shimmering eyeshadow. Purge your vanity table of all things luminescent. While a glittering steel blue smoky eye may be O.K. for hot pop stars, there seems to be an increasing number of mature, full grown women wearing makeup that's more suitable for their teenage daughters. Take a cue from the most elegant of today's stars and sport makeup in neutral tones that highlight your natural features, not compete with them.
