Site Review: Custom Travel SPF from's SPF Check

As I learned the hard way recently, you can never be too careful about sunscreen, especially when you’re traveling. Sure, it’s the same sun no matter where you go, but the earth’s not flat, remember? To help you out, Nivea’s website,, has a new feature called SPF Check. You click on your destination, then click on your skin type (they get very specific). It then tells you your ideal SPF number, exactly how long you can stay in the sun unprotected (not that you should, mind you), and how long you can sit out wearing the suggested level of protection. Genius! And of course, you can click through to get more info on the Nivea products that provide your level of protection, like the Nivea Visage Q10 Advanced Wrinkle Reducer Lotion SPF 15. Isn’t this kind of instant info what the web is supposed to be all about? You can thank me when you get back. Find out more at
