Problem: While all that business travel is fun and exotic, it’s really getting in the way of your workout routine. Pack all that extra gear? Venture out into foreign territory for a run? As if!
Solution: W Hotels and Puma know that if you’re in a workout mindset, nothing as minor as an out-of-town jaunt should slow you down. So they’ve teamed up to offer TrainAway, a line of gear aimed at fitness buffs who have to take their routines on the road. Starting this month, the W Hotel Store will sell Puma’s TrainAway shirts ($50), shorts ($55), and shoes with a handy hotel key card compartment ($140). The TrainAway line’s highlight is a travel-friendly jacket that converts into a bag for all your workout gear ($135). The W Hotel in New York will offer guests rental iPods pre-loaded with running guides, and W Hotels everywhere will loan out Puma bikes and free maps of local bike and jogging routes. Now there’s no reason not to get out there and go for a jog, even if you’re in unfamiliar territory (sorry, all you “but-I’m-on-vacation!†excuse-makers!)
