SheFinds Solution: Shoes that could have solved a crisis...
April 4, 2006
What: is my problem exactly? I have chronic shoe syndrome. Where other women agonize over their outfit, I’m wrestling with “heels, boots, or flats!?” I’m happy to throw on a black tee and skinny jeans (I’ve succumbed) for a night at the local bar. And if this uniform is in play then the accessories become the focus hence the agony. Last night was particularly traumatic which is why I’m in recovery today. And sharing my shopping therapy with all of you. Outfit is basic, jewelry consists of bold colored, chunky beads around the neck and oversize bangles. I tried on every “going out” pair of shoes I own. Nothing was the right height or color combo. Why me, God? Why me?
Solutions: Though I eventually went with hot pink, pointy toed flats, I was preoccupied all night and the booze helped but I was online at Nordstrom’s within minutes of rolling out of bed. I might have a problem but here are the shoes that would have solved my crisis. They may just save you from similar situations of shoe stress.
Steve Madden’s ´Sabrinaa´ Pump would have been the conservative solution, a good find because of it’s wearability, bar or office, they work it. The height is great for trousers, cropped pants and high enough for skinny jeans. On sale: $52.50
The Irregular Choice ´Magic Mushroom´ Pump would have been PERFECT. Flirty, not too formal for the bar- definitely sexy. The bright colors are perfect to pair with a simple ensemble. On sale: $99.90
I could have kept it casual with a Sugar ´Fat Cat´ Flat. Comfy if you’re doing a lot of walking or standing around amidst the scenesters in a crowded watering hole. They play up the cute innocent factor, always a winner if you ask me. They come in three different color combos; Full price: $34.95. Problems solved.
