Problem: How do you remove makeup smudges when you’re on-the-go?

Solution: Makeup stains are tough, but we have a plan. We tested all kinds of makeup stains on all kinds of fabric and came up with this process. You need three weapons: basic baby wipesicon, ordinary hand sanitizericon, and inexpensive <eye makeup removing swabsicon.

When you make a makeup mistake, immediately dab the spot with the wipes. (Wipes saved the day for our friend who got lipstick on her wedding gown.) If wipes do not remove the stain, put a tiny bit of hand sanitizer on the spot. Use tissues or a paper towel to blot. (Don’t rub.) If the stain is stubborn whip out the cotton swab. You’ll get improvement instantly, if not complete removal.

Why not just use a bleach penicon or Shout wipesicon? Both are handy innovations but we’ve found that they work better for food spills. Another downside is that they can leave a residue which can cause discoloration the next time your garment goes through the wash.
