One thing you notice immediately upon entering the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week tents is that it’s definitely not for the timid dresser. The rule of thumb is “Go big or go home.” We saw lamé at 10:00 a.m., sequins, glitter, crystals — everything but the kitchen sink. This is no more prevalent than in the shoe department, with women teetering on the stone walkways in perilous pumps. I personally saw three girls bite it while pushing their way into one show, snapping ankle straps and possibly kneecaps on the way down.
We were particularly in love with this gorgeous pair of Miu Miu pumps worn by one of the sweetest people we ran into during our time in the tents. Trust us, this is rare at Fashion Week — larger than life attitudes and non-stop pushing and shoving made even the most patient of us want to turn to violence.
