When you think of athletic jerseys, the last thing that comes to mind is sequins, leather skirts and crop tops. But this season, sporty tops get a trendy high-fashion makeover, courtesy of designers like Jeremy Scott, Alexander Wang and Jullen David.

Basic colors of navy, white and gray are replaced by lipstick red, gold metallic and army green. Jersey mesh is traded in for sexier materials like leather, sequins and lamé. And instead of the jersey’s traditional oversized silhouette, designers are opting for crop tops, fitted tees with cut-outs and loose t-shirts that fall seductively over the shoulder.

Rihanna and Rita Ora are among the first celebs to get in on the fun: Rih wore Jeremy Scott’s gold jersey dress with heels and Rita Ora rocked a baseball jersey with a pencil skirt. Ready to show your sexy tomboy side? Shop our fave jerseys in the slideshow.
