What: Kenzo Cosmic Cosmetic Cream Gentle Night Repair

Why: Packaging means a lot in beauty — almost as much as the product itself. This is one of those cases where the packaging speaks perfectly for the product inside, which makes me love it even more. The asymmetrically styled jar is made of soft, white, rubbery plastic with a powdery finish — you know the kind. It almost feels like silk to the touch. When you unscrew the top you’re enveloped in a cloud of Kenzo Summer — mimosa, cherry blossom and soothing white lotus flower. The consistency is like velvet perfection, creamy and rich, yet still it absorbs rapidly without leaving the skin greasy. Still, I can’t get away from the smell that clearly does what the product aims to: relaxes and calms. By the time I’ve spread the cream on my face and neck, I’m lulled into a fog just in time to hit the feather bed ball.

I highly recommend this to anyone whose evening skin care ritual is a precious one. You won’t be disappointed with this luxurious and decadent cream.
