Skin Saver

After a summer of sun — despite using sunscreen, my skin as been feeling the pain of time served at the beach. I recently tried B. Kamins Chemist’s bio maple cellular renewal serum, which claims to help ‘youthful skin recapture it’s youthful appearance.’ You’re supposed to put it on morning and night, before your moisturizer. I’ve been using it for about a week now, and can report that it’s definitely working. What I love about this product is that it doesn’t interfere with your usual moisturizer — and in the interest of good reportage, I’ve tested it by switching between three different moisturizers on top. It leaves skin looking a little more fresh, and the side benefit that B. Kamins doesn’t mention is its healing properties. I developed a last minute stress zit and put this stuff on before I went to bed, and in the morning, the zit was history – something that’s never happened before with some other spendy products I could mention. The only thing I don’t love about this product is it doesn’t have the most fantastic smell — a true case of function over form!
