Macy’s contemporary line, Impulse, is partnering with Made Fashion Week, a platform that supports emerging creative talent in the fashion, beauty, music, and art industries. The collection hits online and in stores on March 12, and its pieces, ranging in price from $39-$139, have Made’s signature edgy, downtown vibe.
The debut collection is the first installment of an ongoing collaboration. According to WWD, Macy’s plans to steadily introduce new Impulse x Made products into stores on a monthly basis; however, the designers that Made supports – Joseph Altuzarra, Suno – will not be involved in the line. Rather, the line is about translating the Made culture into garments. Jenné Lombardo of made says:
To be able to bring pieces to life at an accessible price point at a mass level is really something we stand for. Just like us, the Made collection exists somewhere at the intersection of fashion, music, art and popular culture. Our collections will always be inspired by the kids on the streets. Our currency has always been access.
