Facebook is one social media platform that always gets buzz for its layout changes. But the latest addition to their new layout plans is better than ever. Our mobile profiles will be getting a makeover. What do we mean by that? Similar to the Snapchat profile picture update, users will be able to create motion-shot photos to use for their profile picture. Also, Facebook will be adding the option for people to set a temporary profile photo that will expire and then revert back to their original one at a specific time. This is good for people who use their profile pictures as a call-of-action or advertisement for the organizations and offices they’re a part of. In addition to the GIF-like profile picture change, the website will also add a bio section that will be placed right above where our additional info is labeled (such as where we live, where we work, birthday, relationship status, etc).
These new layout and profile changes will go live for some iPhone users in California and the U.K., for now. But Facebook plans to roll out these new features for the general public soon.
