Sorry Guys, Louis Vuitton's Street Artist-Designed Scarves Are Already Sold Out

We never even had a chance. Louis Vuitton‘s recently-launched limited edition scarves with artists Os Gemeos, Retna, and Lady Aiko are already sold out on the site. The 3 silk scarves for the French fashion house’s spring/summer 2013 collection are a bit of a departure from their usual aesthetic. Though the label has worked with artists in the past, they’ve usually stuck with market-tested names like Takashi Murakami and Yayoi Kusama. This time around, they teamed up with street artists whose bold graphic designs and use of graffiti aren’t exactly what you expect for a label best-known for its brown, monogrammed luggage and accessories.

Though most of us probably find the idea of spending up to $900 on a scarf laughable (the cheapest of the pieces was Os Gemeos’ $450 entry), we still liked having the option. Hey, at the very least, we are intrigued and ready to see what other sort of collaboration LV will roll out next. In the mean time, if you do have the means to purchase, head over to the Louis Vuitton site and call the number provided to check availability.
