Finally, Starbucks got the hint and will offer almond milk (it might have something to do with the oh, I don’t know, the begging on the My Starbucks Idea website, but just a thought). Starting September 6th, East and West Coast locations will have almond milk. The rest of America will get the dairy alternative by October. It won’t be out with the other milks and will cost you an extra 60 cents.
But here’s where things get interesting. Starbucks is proving to be less basic than I thought by creating their own almond milk recipe. “We created our own almondmilk recipe to complement our hot, iced and Frappuccino® blended beverages,” Yoke Wong, manager of Starbucks’ beverage research and development team, said in a statement. “It was designed so that when steamed, it creates a rich foam for hot beverages and is delicious and creamy when served in cold beverages.”
Think about all the almond milk Pumpkin Spice Lattes you’re about to see girls in Uggs ordering. Let that sink in.
