Start Thanksgiving Dinner An Hour Earlier This Year--Toys 'R Us Opens for Black Friday Business at 9 p.m.!

November 15, 2011 by Mom Jeanine

I love to shop, I really do. But even I have my limits and if you ask me, shopping on Thanksgiving Day is just… well, it’s just wrong.

But apparently, I’m the lone holdout with a misguided moral compass because Toys ‘R Us just upped the Black Friday ante. Last year they opened their doors at 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. This year? The deals are yours for the taking at 9 p.m.

According to the Black Friday circular, Toys ‘R Us will have Xbox 360 Game Systems with Kinect for $199.99, the Disney Princess toddler dolls for $12.99 and 8GB iPod Touches for $199.99, plus you’ll get a $50 gift card.

I’ll admit the deals are enticing, but 9 p.m. is just about the time I’m going back for my second helping of  turkey. But if you’re so inclined, better start dinner early this year because chances are any relatives with kids will be on their way out the door at 7:30 p.m. or so.

Excited that Toys ‘R Us opens at 9 on Thanksgiving? Here’s what you should be on the lookout for.
