More and more, I see professional women opting for large screen laptops for work, and more and more, they're frustrated by the lack of stylish bags that fit them. Something that isn't a backpack, doesn't look like a laptop bag, and is appropriate for formal or casual settings. There are several cases on the market that meet one of these criteria, but very few that meet them all.
It's no surprise that these few include bags from Mobile Edge and Coakley, two of my favorite laptop bag makers.
If you have a laptop that measures a bit less than 16 actual inches (17" Apples tend to fall into this category) then you can easily fit it into the Coakley Travel Portfolio. This bag will fit everything else you need, too, including papers, files, your phone, Blackberry, pens, and anything else you can think of. It's perfect for travel, obviously, but works for every day, too.
For the minimalists, there's the Mobile Edge Large Faux Croc Portfolio. It will fit Apple 17" screens with a little room left over for your power cords. If your laptop is 16" or a little over, it will fit, but barely.
For a bag that will fit all large screens and look fabulous besides, you need a Mobile Edge Large Milano. Stylish and classic, this bag has plenty of room for business and personal items, a cord bag you can slip inside or attach outside, and your laptop. It's also very sturdy, so you can carry it everywhere without worry.
