Diane von Furstenberg announced yesterday that she will be teaming up with the quintessential surfer-girl brand Roxy to create the collection DVF loves Roxy. The collaboration will launch in stores and online next spring and will feature swimwear, cover-ups, boardshorts, rashguards, and beach bags at a price point of about $38. In an interview with WWD, Furstenberg talks about the new collaboration saying, “I am so excited to work with Roxy. The collection is playful and fun – we wanted to empower women to go for it and ride the wave.”
Diane von Furstenberg isn’t the only high-end designer to hop on the surf trend. This past spring, Jimmy Choo debuted his surfer clutch, Zimmerman introduced a collection of printed rash guards, and back in 2010 Roxy partnered with Cynthia Rowley to create a collection of pastel swimwear that made us want to take surf lessons!
