11 Thoughtful Gifts For Moms Who Deserve The World

If there's anyone who deserves a great gift at Christmas, it's mom. She works her tail bone off year round to keep everyone healthy and happy (and bathed... and fed... and diapered...) so why not go that extra mile to make sure her holiday gift is worthy of a queen? It can be tricky to find the perfect gift for any parent (anything they want, they can buy for themselves!) But, we're here to help. We've taken the guess work out of shopping for mom--behold a list of gifts that she will absolutely love and totally appreciate, bar none. They are: 1. 23andMe kit This 23AndMe Ancestry Report ($79, down from $99) is one of the hottest gifts of the year--it made Oprah's Favorite Things 2018, and as you know, if it's good enough for Oprah it's good enough for mom. Plus, you'll get information about your own background, too, with this first at-home genetic test of its kind. 2. NYDJ's Gift of Fit box Since she's better than mom jeans, gift her NYDJ's Gift Box ($124) which allows her to find the perfect pair of jeans. It comes with a beautiful box, measuring tape and $124 gift card (the average cost of a pair of NYDJ jeans) redeemable at NYDJ.com. 3. Amazon Dot "Mom!" "Mommy!" "Maaaaama!" Everyone is always screaming her name and needing something. Gift her the ultimate gift--someone else's name for everyone to call--with the Echo Dot (2nd Generation) ($29.99). Sync with your Amazon Prime account, create shopping lists, get the weather, play music, and much more, on voice command. 4. Skinceuticals C E Ferulic Dermatologists widely regard SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic ($165) as the most effective anti-aging product. This will help her skin achieve MILF status in 2018. 5. ToteSavvy Diaper Bag Insert + A Designer Bag Don't get the new mom in your life a frumpy diaper bag--hook her up with a handbag she actually wants, plus this Life In Play ToteSavvy Diaper Bag Insert ($72) that turns any bag into a diaper bag, thanks to endless organized compartments and pockets. For the bag, we'd suggest a Balenciaga Black Leather Arena Shopper Tote ($1,750). 6. Sugar Bear Hair Vitamins This is a beauty gift that covers a lot of bases: it's celebrity-approved, and actually works to make your hair, skin and nails better. Shop now: SugarBearHair Vitamins, 60 Count ($32.99). 7. Advanced Handheld Steamer  If you don't love mom, make her keep ironing. If you DO love her, gift her this Black + Decker Handheld Steamer ($39.96) which will shave *hours* in the morning. 8. Wine--a lot of it.  It's not amateur hour--don't give her a crappy single bottle of wine, go big or go home with this Deen Brothers Red Blend 12-Bottle Set ($193.99). This old-school Italian style red is lively and beautiful--just like her. 9. Framebridge custom frames She's too busy to frame any of her *thousands* of iPhone photos, so do her a solid and take her most-Liked Instagram from the year and have it framed in a beautiful Framebridge custom frame ($39-$199). 10. Le Tote Membership If she "never has anything to wear," a monthly membership to Le Tote is absolutely the way to go. For $59/month, she'll get unlimited personalized clothing and accessories (called "Totes"), free shipping and free professional cleaning. 11. A customized handbag A perfect gift for the fashion-lover is Brahmin’s First Ever Customizable Handbag (from $165). It allows mom to express her individual style by customizing everything from the body to the flap and the tassel finish of this cool cross-body bag. Here’s How To Stress Less During The Holiday Season #WellnessWednesday

The holiday season is a time for joy and all-around Christmas cheer, but it also comes with a lot of obligations. Organizing friend gatherings, Christmas dinners, holiday parties, and office Secret Santa exchanges can be overwhelming and bring on the holiday stress, especially when things slip through the cracks. But what can you do to not get so holidazed? Break the pattern this year by keeping these tips in mind so that you don't succumb to stress. Be practical. With so much going on in terms of family, friends, and even coworkers, you have to prioritize what's most important. You may not be able to attend every party, so don't RSVP for everything, especially if you're contributing food, drinks, decorations, etc. Set a budget. Shopping is one of the most stressful things to do during the holiday season, but overspending can have your stress levels soaring. For those that have thrown a holiday party, even if you try to get guests to bring dishes or drinks, you could still end up footing the bill. Don't forget the gifts for family members and friends could cost you! Make a budget that you can stick to so that you don't have any surprises on your credit card statement. Don't over extend yourself. If you're a person that always feels like there's a million things to do, try easing up on the responsibilities this year. It doesn't all have to be on you. Delegate task between family and friends to make things run smoother. Take some "me" time. The holidays are all about togetherness, but sometimes you need a moment to yourself. Having some "me" time in the midst of it all can help you recharge while your juggling a million other things. [Photo: Shutterstock]

Want To Try Color Blocking? Rock One Of These Fun Looks At Your Holiday Parties This Year

It's easy to get lost in an endless rotation of black outfits when the temps start dropping. Who isn't guilty of this? Black goes with everything and complements every skin tone. Before you settle in to the all black everything routine, though, we're here to encourage you to shake things up. Not only does color really have a way of boosting your mood--which we all need after weeks of cold, gloomy weather--but watch how the compliments start pouring in when you start wearing color. Everyone is so used to black, grey and navy, that it's actually quite refreshing to see someone in something bright and fun. The perfect place to experiment with vibrant hues? Your holiday party! Whether you opt for a stunning colorblock dress or mix and match separates to create your own one-of-a-kind colorblock ensemble, these bold looks always work. Wear a colorblock dress. Forget the monochromatic and freshen up your closet with a colorful colorblock dress. This Warehouse Color Block O-Ring Belt Shift Dress features a popular (and flattering) panel design that will really make you stand out. Plus, the mix of burgundy and red is perfect for the season--and brings a bit more contrast to the traditional little red dress. Match it with a pair of pointy-toe pumps or booties and you're ready for the party. Find a skirt with some serious contrast. Try switching it up with a piece that has a little more flare like this ASOS Color Block Metallic Pleated Midi Skirt. You can wear it with a top that matches one of the colors in the skirt, or you can get a little daring and find a top in a bold bright color like cobalt or royal blue. Mix and match your favorite colors. If you feel like you're ready to tackle colorblocking on your own, go wild. Choose two of your favorite colors then find separates in each hue to pair together. We love pink and green, so we'd recommend wearing these ASOS Tailored Belted Pants in Green Pop with a vibrant sweater like this pink Ribbed Sweater with Roll Neck. 4 No-Fail Party Looks To Try This Holiday Season

The holidays are right around the corner, which means you need to start surveying (and updating!) your holiday party attire ASAP. After all, this is the time to do some serious shopping if you're expecting lots of invites. Of course, the thought of a different holiday party every night can be dizzying. Who has the time (or bandwith) to think through that many ensembles? We hear you and we're here for you... with four simple-yet-stunning party looks that never fail. Try them out for all your events this holiday season. Black High Neck Strappy Back Sleeveless Top 1. High neck blouse + trousers. When you're looking for an easy outfit that always slays, you can't go wrong with all black everything. Pair a dressy high-neck top with flattering black trousers. Add leg-lengthening pointy-toe black heels for good measure you've got a look that never get old. Dark Red Lace High Neck Swing Dress 2. Statement dress + over-the-knee boots. Of course, when it comes to party attire the first thing you think of is a stylish dress. Rather than reach for a well-worn closet staple, invest in a new statement piece like this Dark Red Lace High Neck Swing Dress to stun in as you hit the scene. Black Molly skinny fit pants 3. Metallic top + black jeans. For when you're going to a more chill get-together, pair your favorite black jeans with a festive metallic blouse and your best pointy-toe boots. This ensemble works for everything from house parties to casual cocktails. Black Faux Leather Panel Pencil Skirt 4. Leather skirt + silk tank top. When you want to really stand out at a function, spice up your wardrobe with a leather skirt such as this Black Faux Leather Panel Pencil Skirt. Together with a luxe silk tank, this look is guaranteed to have all eyes on you. [Photo: River Island]

The Ultimate Guide On What To Wear To An Office Holiday Party

It's that time of the year again-- holiday season is right around the corner quickly approaching. From family gatherings to gift swaps at work it seems like your winter months are forever booked. You'll definitely want to streamline the process of finding the perfect outfit for each holiday party that you're invited to, and office holiday parties are no exception. Whether it's taking an hour off from work to celebrate or going out for drinks after office hours, you'll want to make sure your look is festive yet still work appropriate. Without further ado, let's dive into two different outfit choices that can help you decide on what to wear to an office holiday party this year. It seems like wrap tops have been everywhere this year, and that's because they're super flattering. They fit to your shape at all the right spots, and are also comfortable thanks to the flow of most of their styles. This top from Nordstrom for instance is the perfect deep red shade for the wintertime, has detailed ruffled sleeves, and also has a looser fit. Note, it's available in a pink peach and rust gingersnap color option too so you can stock up on your go-to favorite work blouse. Nordstrom Chelsea28 Ruffle Wrap Blouse ($69.00) You can never have too many pairs of classic black work pants, right? This pair of high waisted flared pants are a bit more stylish than your traditional black slacks. These have more detailing than most do, as seen in the stitched crease at the front of the pant legs. They definitely pair perfectly with your red wrap blouse for a polished yet festive holiday look. H&M Flared Pants ($39.99) Now, we have two footwear options for your holiday look this year. For one, check out these simple heels from Forever 21. You absolutely can't beat the price of these faux suede pumps, they're just about less than $20! Forever 21 Pointed Faux Suede Pumps ($19.90) However if heels aren't your thing, you can also flawlessly complete the look with a pair of comfortable flats instead. These ones are also from Forever 21 and are just about $18. Forever 21 Faux Suede Pointed Toe Flats ($17.90) We've also got another holiday outfit option for you if you're going for a dressier look. Nordstrom has a ton of great basic pieces, from solid colored wrap blouses to this little black dress. You can get staple pieces that every fashion woman should have in her wardrobe from Nordstrom that will not only hold up after many wears, but are also reasonably priced for their quality. You can also order this black shift dress just in time for the holiday season (and there's free shipping). Nordstrom Felicity & Coco Shift Dress ($98.00) You should definitely buy those Forever 21 black pumps or flats no matter which look you're putting together for your office holiday party. Either shoe option would go just as great with this shift dress as they would with the wrap blouse and flared pants. Forever 21 Pointed Faux Suede Pumps ($19.90) Forever 21 Faux Suede Pointed Toe Flats ($17.90) We've got you covered on all of the styling tips and pointers you need no matter the occasion. How To Kill It If You’re Giving Gift Cards This Year

Gift cards were the most requested gift for the ninth year in a row in 2015, according to the NRF (National Retail Federation). Props! That can't be an easy feat, especially with all the hot gift items out there. It does make sense, though. Gift cards are for everyone: young, old, male, female. However, they do have a stigma for being impersonal. So if you're planning to give a gift card this year and want to make it special, here are 5 ways to kill it. Make it personal Step 1 is to personalize the gift card you're giving. Giftcards.com lets you upload a photo and customize text for Visa and Mastercard gift cards. You can even grab images from Instagram and Facebook. Who ever said gift cards are impersonal does not know what year it is. Buy online Tons of retailers have the e-gift card option. Some even let you buy online and will send you a hard copy. Plus, there are sites dedicated just to buying gift cards (at discounted prices!) online, like Cardpool. Get them at discounted prices Those sites we mentioned before? They sell gift cards up to 35% off. You're not cheating the receiver out of their gift money, just saving some for yourself. It's savvy shopping. Get discounted gift cards here. Swap unwanted gift cards Have a gift card lying around that you absolutely will never use? Swap it for one you can gift, and it's like someone is paying for you. (We won't tell.) Sites like Swapagift allow you to do this. Check for purchase fees Yes, some gift cards still charge purchase fees ranging from $3.95 to $6.95. You also should check for maintenance fees. Sometimes you get charged if a gift card isn't used in a certain amount of time. To avoid this, buy a store gift card. US News & World Report says that only 7% of retailers charge purchase fees. The Worst Starbucks Holiday Drink For You, According To A Dietician

The holidays are the best. We get to spend time with family, enjoy each other’s company, and most importantly, eat as much as we want (just kidding, not really, though). And we can't forget to mention the great drinks that Starbucks brings out seasonally! If only drinking all of those lattes and Frappucinos were as good for us as quality time with our parents. According to dietician Elaine Magee, the Peppermint Mocha Frappucino is the worst holiday drink to have from Starbucks. The popular holiday drink has 410 calories, 14 grams of fat and 64 grams of sugar, enough to make you jump off the walls. That many grams of sugar surpasses the amount recommended by the American Heart Association for women to ingest daily by more than 30 grams. Wow! If you must enjoy the festive Starbucks drink, try the Skinny Peppermint Mocha. It comes with skim milk, no whipped cream, and only 13 grams of sugar. Don't forget to check out: 3 easy ways to save money at Starbucks and the one drink you should never order at Starbucks, according to a barista [Photo: Shutterstock]

So, you got a gift you didn't want for Christmas and are too lazy to do anything about it. The box sits in your home for months after the 30-day return limit and you wind up with nothing. It happens to everyone. However, this year, Zappos has a solution for this dilemma. For the first 500 callers between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. EST on Saturday, December 26th, Zappos is offering $100 gift cards in exchange for your unwanted presents, which will then be donated to charity. If you're one of the lucky, Zappos will send a pre-paid label that can be used to mail in your gift. The "Happy Returns" idea was created to emphasize the brand's incredible commitment to customer service. You must call this number: 1-800-927-7671. Good luck! [Photo: Shutterstock]
