Target just announced their plans for the 2015 holiday season and they are quite magical! The company’s aim this year is to give customers a more convenient shopping experience through new digital tools. Target’s holiday marketing campaign, The Holiday Odyssey, will tell a story of a “larger-than-life holiday journey.”
“Target is starting the season with momentum in our business, anchored by increased store traffic and strength in our signature categories of baby, kids, style and wellness,” said Brian Cornell, chairman of the board and CEO of Target. “The work we’ve done throughout the past year puts us in a position to deliver the convenient services and differentiated product our guests count on from Target, especially during the holidays. I’m confident that guests will find an easy, inspiring, and most importantly, seamless experience at Target no matter how they choose to shop.”
Here’s what you can expect from Target for the upcoming holiday season:
Free shipping and returns. Starting November 1 through December 25 Target will be offering customers free shipping and returns!
International shopping. For the first time, Target is now offering international shopping and shipping to more than 200 countries. Customers will also be allowed to pay in 60 different currencies.
Expanded curbside pickup. Curbside pickup will be expanding from 21 Target locations to 121. This feature allows customers to never leave their car while purchasing items at Target. Curbside pickup will be available in all Philadelphia and San Francisco Bay area stores, plus select stores in New York, New Jersey and Chicago.
Expanding Instacart service. Target is expanding this feature (beginning next week) to San Francisco. Customers can use the Instacart website or app to buy select groceries at Target, along with beauty, pet, baby and household items. If you use this feature, you’ll receive your order in less than two hours!
“Wish List” app. Kids and families will now be able to use the Target Kids’ Wish List app with more ease and functionality. It includes a kid-friendly browse, search and scan, plus an easier way for parents to manage lists. Kids can also send letters to Santa.
Target recently expanded their Price Match Policy and it will be extended through the holiday season.
