Stop everything and get to your nearest Target store. It has been confirmed (Racked, how do you find this sh*t?!) that at least one Target store has the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collection a full two weeks ahead of it’s scheduled September 15th launch date.
Sadly, Christmas has not come early – this was due to an “unfortunate operational oversight,” according to a Target rep, and in all likelihood, the leaked merch will probably be gone from shelves by
morning the time you get to your nearest store. Wah wah. Here’s how it all went down today:
Customers at a Target in Duluth, Georgia spotted handbags and scarves (above) from the line nondescriptly lining the racks of the store’s accessories section. There was no Phillip Lim signage displayed and only a few select items were out, but the eagle-eye shopper recognized the pieces and called them in to Racked, who then covered the story, which then spread around the interwebs, prompting Target to reply to various outlets including our own that this was NOT an early launch but more of a clerical error that was being swiftly solved. So, as we speak, beautifully-crafted 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target handbags are being removed from Target shelves across the country. Sigh.
Good news: the line will for really real be here on September 15th – so get excited!
