Hot on the heels of the Phillip Lim for Target debut yesterday, Target didn’t waste any time announcing their next designer collab. The lucky designer to be teaming up with Target for spring? Peter Pilotto.
Now unless you’re a diehard fashion fan, Peter Pilotto probably isn’t a name you recognize. But that will all change. There are actually two designers behind the brand–Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos–and they are known for their captivating prints and sculptural silhouettes. The label’s ready-to-wear designs would typically set you back well over $1,000, but the nearly 70-piece PETER PILOTTO for Target collection will include women’s apparel, accessories and swimwear all under $80. Here’s what the designers had to say about the upcoming collab:
“By working with Target, we’re able to broaden our reach and bring our design aesthetic to an entirely new audience,” said Peter Pilotto. “This is a pivotal moment for our brand. Our collection for Target embodies the elegance and spirit of our own line, but makes it accessible to everyone,” added Christopher De Vos.
Excited? Us, too! Here are the important deets: the collection launches on February 9, 2014 at target.com and most Target stores in the U.S. and Canada. Even better, NET-A-PORTER will offer international fans access to some of the items from the PETER PILOTTO for Target collection for the first-time ever.
There are no photos of the collection yet, but here’s a cool video of the digital video projection used to announce the collab at the designer’s spring/summer 2014 show to whet your appetite.
