Let us take you back to 2009. It’s the VMAs and Taylor Swift‘s “You Belong With Me” was just named Best Female Video of the year. She makes her way to the stage, excited that a country music star can win an MTV award, only to be interrupted by Kanye West. He jumps on stage, grabs the mic out of her hands and utters the now-famous line, “Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you, imma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.” #historymade.
Fast forward six years later, and the two are set to collaborate. Yeezy broke the news to Ryan Seacrest on his radio show yesterday, “Yeah, she wants to get in the studio and we’re definitely going to go in.” He continued, “Any artist with an amazing point of view, perspective, fan base, I’m down to get in the studio and work. I don’t discriminate, I don’t have an elitism of music because of, like, how many Grammys, or you know, the amount of ratings you get on an album.” So that must be what the two were talking about in this picture from last weekend’s Grammy awards.
