Why: Exactly 5 weeks after a haircut, my 'do inevitably enters into mullet territory. Thankfully, at around the 4 1/2 week mark, I was presented with the amazing opportunity to have it cut and styled by famed stylist, Philip Pelusi, owner of the Tela Design Studio in NYC. Philp has just come out with a new line of organic styling products called Tela Beauty Organics, which he used on my hair throughout the cut and blow-out. The line consists of different organic shampoos, conditioners, and styling products for all of your hair needs – from repair to volume to even aging hair.
My hands-down favorite product was the Healer. This wonder treatment both restores and grooms hair, and just happens to be USDA-certified, 100% organic. This is unprecedented in the world of hair care, where other products that claim to be organic have yet to get the stamp of approval from the USDA for being absolutely 100%. I used the Healer on my damp hair before drying, and then added a drop to smooth out the ends after I finished blow-drying. It's been the only styling product I've used in the past couple weeks, and my hair has never looked (or smelled!) better.
Get Yours: As of this week, all Tela products are available at barneys.com.
