The Burch Sisters' New Line Proves That Preppy Doesn't Run In The Family
April 15, 2014
When your father is Chris Burch of C. Wonder store and your ex-stepmom is Tory Burch, fashion is kind of in your blood. So it’s no surprise that Alexandra “Pookie” and Louisa “Weezie” Burch launched their own clothing line, Trademark. While some items like their gorgeous Ambrose Dress ($228), Ambrose Cardigan ($178), Cyrus Shirt ($98) and Saleci Skirt ($158) are already available to shop on the online, an entire 105 piece collection will debut this fall. The duo’s affordable collection, which could definitely be described as minimalist, will retail between $200-300. It includes oversized sweaters, pea coats, track pants, army jackets, accessories and footwear.
In an interview with Racked, Louisa explained that they want to keep “the clothing affordable but still make sure the quality is [as] important. We want clothes that actually keep you warm…not just cheap stuff that you’d have to go buy something new the next season.” With the influence and support of their designer parents, Louisa’s fashion internships and training at NYU and Alexandra’s acclaimed photography skills, it will be interesting to watch Trademark grow over the next few years. Be one of the first to get in on the Trademark action by checking out Trademark’s Fall 2014 lookbook, shopping online, or visiting their SoHo store which opens this June.
