You’ve just landed an interview at your dream job, so you wanna do everything you can to nail it. You’ve researched the company outside and in, you’ve prepared spectacular questions to ask your interviewer, and your resume speaks volumes for your experience. All that’s left is choosing the right thing to wear—it’s just as important as anything else. Actually, your appearance is quite possibly the most important part of an interview, because whether we like to acknowledge it or not, everyone judges a book by its cover. So you need to ace that outfit—there’s no room for error here.

We just gave you one more thing to stress about, did we? Before you start to bug out, you should know that we’ve been in your shoes too, so we totally know what it’s like—that’s why we’re here to help. We pulled together a list of dos and don’ts when it comes to getting dressed for a job interview, with tips like which colors to avoid, how to wear your makeup, and why perfume is a no-no. Go on and read, because after this, you’re so gonna rock.
