First, we found out that Gilmore Girls was being revived. Now, we’ve just been informed that the film Cruel Intentions is being adapted into a TV series for NBC!

While the film took place in 1999, the TV series will be set in present day. The plotline will revolve around Annette (Reese Witherspoon) and Sebastian Valmont’s son. The plot also includes Bash Casey, who is 16 years old at this point. He winds up finding his father’s (Sebastian) journal, and this finding reveals a crazy family legacy he never knew about! Once he finds the journal, he picks up and leaves Kansas to study at a prestigious school in San Francisco. What happens here is where the TV show begins. According to Variety, Casey “soon finds himself in a world of sex, money, power and corruption he never could have imagined.”

If that doesn’t make you intrigued about this upcoming series, I don’t know what will!
