What’s up doc?
With Fashion Week in full swing, everyone is focused on what 2012’s trends will have to offer. But for Nike, it’s all about 2015—the year 1989’s Back to the Future II projected hoverboarding and self-lacing sneakers.
Now, as a joint effort between Nike and eBay Fashion Vault, 1,500 limited-edition Nike Mag sneakers (à la Marty McFly) are being auctioned off to raise money for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Complete with rechargeable LED lights and “space-age materials,” bidding on this futuristic footwear started last night and goes up until September 18th.
