You know you’re making some serious coin when you find yourself on one of Forbes magazine’s many ‘Rich Lists,’ but sometimes, such an honor can get you in trouble. Just ask Gisele Bündchen, who for the past seven years has topped the magazine’s Supermodel Rich List. For 2012-2013, the publication estimated that all of the Bündchen’s projects had made her about $42 million.

That number sounded right to the folks at Forbes, but apparently, they were a little suspect to the good people at the IRS, who Bündchen says investigated her finances to see if she actually makes that much. “It’s sad, because these people who write [the list] do not have my account number! I earn well, but it is not all this talking,” she said in an interview with  mdemulher.abril.com.br, translated from Portugese. “I have been audited in the U.S. because of the Forbes list. And frankly, whether or not I’m in this ranking, I do not care…I want to raise my children and be a good wife and work. What I value: are my children are educated? Is my husband is happy? Do people feel a positive energy by my side?” she said. “[They] should have a journal to assess the knowledge, wisdom and love of people. This, indeed, is power!”

Fair enough! Gisele never dished on how much she actually makes, but since it’s not our business anyway, we say carry on, sis! But we always love a good Gisele quote, the girl is one of a kind.
