While recently at my favorite mani spot TenOverTen, the salon manager revealed that Essie‘s “Butler Please” has been one of the most-requested colors as of late. She showed me an almost-empty bottle to prove it. And our fav celeb manicurist Erica Marton also relayed that her clients have been leaning towards a range of blue shades these past few weeks—including Essie‘s “Butler Please” and Zoya‘s “Blu.” We’re well aware that pastel polishes are trending for spring, but could blue be the shade of the season?
In an effort to find out which of all the spring 2013 polishes were actually the most popular, most sought-after and most likely to fly off shelves, we reached out to our
moles contacts at some of the biggest polish brands. As in OPI, Essie, butter LONDON, JINsoon, Revlon and NCLA–in order to find out what polish shades were selling like hot cakes for spring. We thought they would totes be all bright and punchy hues, but man were we wrong. Majority of the best-selling shades also happen to be in the blue family, with a red, nude and a few pastels in the mix too. Verdict: we’ve got the blues! Check out the slideshow above for spring’s 14 most coveted shades now.
