Back when we were growing up, wearing mood rings was the thing to do. It was kind of cool to see if the color actually matched how you were feeling. And since our elementary school days, we’ve seen mood nail polish, makeup and even a dress. But all of this color changing based on how we were feeling was more of a fad than a true form of communication.
But now there’s a company out there called Senosree that wants to change that. As the newest addition to wearable tech, Sensoree is inventing a mood sweater that uses Galvanic Skin Responses to detect how you’re feeling. According to The Guardian, it’s like you’re wearing your heart on your sleeve. So presh.
It reminds us of something straight out of a Zenon movie, with the big collar and stark white fabric. Like we could see ourselves wearing it on a space station or something, but probably not EVER in the real world. And the colors are a little too obvious too. Like if you’re feeling nervous or in love, the collar glows red. Guess we won’t be able to fool our crush anymore, huh?
The mood sweater has been featured in several fashion shows around the world, including the Digital Fall 2013 Fashion Show in San Francisco. 100 of them are expected to launch in March. What do you think? Will you be one of the 100 in line waiting for the sweater?
