I can’t cook anything beyond eggs, so I order in dinner about three nights a week. Don’t worry, I don’t go starving the other nights (I know you were very concerned), I just usually make dinner plans or pick up prepared food. Anyways, since Seamless is my life, I know a thing or two about how it can go right and how it can go very, very wrong.
One time, I ordered a bagel and iced coffee on a Saturday morning. I wasn’t starving when it arrived, so I let it sit for, like, twenty minutes. When I went to open the bag, I discovered it was the wrong order! So, I called the restaurant and they gave me two options: keep the wrong order or have them send the right one. I probably could have just eaten what they sent me, but I’m a real stickler for getting what I paid (not to mention waited!) for, so I asked for a new order.

Guys, never do this. I waited another 40 minutes for the right food and found out later that it was because they put me at the bottom of the delivery queue. Apparently, most restaurants do this when they mess up your delivery order. Lesson learned: always, always check your food delivery bag when it arrives.

And in case you were deeply invested in this tragic tale of bagel delivery gone wrong, they gave me seltzer as compensation. Bubbly water! I won’t even get into the fact that I hate carbonation, so this didn’t make up for anything, but there was no free food or credit to my next order. Lesson really learned.
