The One Reason Why You Should Never Use Your iPhone As Your Alarm Clock

Who doesn’t use their iPhone as an alarm clock these days? I can’t even remember the last time I set an actual, physical alarm clock to wake me up in the morning–can you? Apple just makes it so easy.

Well, it turns out, you actually should not use your iPhone as an alarm clock. Ever. According to a Genius Bar employee, you should turn your phone off at night for a better battery life. The “Genius” told a writer from CNET, “He said there was no reason to have your phone on unless you were in a profession that required you to be reachable in the middle of the night (on your cell phone).”

Since there is NO chance of us turning our phones off when our eyes are open, our only option really is to shut it down overnight. It’s not like your iPhone is the *only* option for an alarm clock, right? And you probably want to be able to check Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat etc. every waking minute.
