If you’re anything like me, you already have a pretty lengthy bedtime routine. With washing my face, applying loads of skincare products and sometimes even a quick manicure, my nighttime beauty routine is already involved enough as it is – but this is one quick extra step just might be worth adding to the mix. So what’s the one thing that you’re not doing before bed that you probably should be?
Believe it or not, it’s applying deodorant. While you’re probably already putting on antiperspirant in the morning, putting it on at night will allow the ingredients to work at full capacity. Why? For starters, it turns out that your sweat glands are actually less active at night. Your skin is drier and therefore your deodorant will apply more easily and last longer. While you can still apply it in the morning too, between sweat and leftover moisture from your shower, your antiperspirant will have a tendency to come off much more quickly.
Lesson learned: if you’re struggling with sweat stains in the sticky summer weather, try adding deodorant to your bedtime routine. It just might work wonders!
