Whether you’re serious about finding a match or not, there are some things you should *never* do on your dating app profile, though. Avoid them like the plague (or like the guy with a skydiving profile pic). One of them is to use a picture that has more than one person in it.
Why? Professional matchmaker Ashley Kaylor calls this the “The Where’s Waldo Pic,” and says that it’s just too confusing for prospective matches to figure out who you are in the pic. “Tinder moves fast, don’t make him work too hard,” she says.
I know, you have some cute group photos and you think that maybe it even makes you look more social and fun–but the truth is that it does more harm than good. Why? Because it’s just *too hard** for guys to tell which one is you in the photo. This confusion causes guys to just swipe left or not connect with you. It’s just the nature of these apps, where flash judgements are made constantly.
Prospective matches might even think you are trying to use group photos because you *want* them to think you’re someone else. It’s a big red flag for suitors–so just don’t do it, K?
