The Socially Awkward Kristen Stewart's Red Carpet Hits and Misses

Thanks to Twilight, Kristen Stewart is a huge actress that frequents red carpets often. Unfortunately, she is one of those hit or miss stars – sometimes her pout-y, “I don’t care” attitude and slouchy posture make her look like she is miserable. Come on Kristen, you’re making tons of money and wearing the best designers. What’s there to be upset about?

The Hits:

Stewart looks best on the red carpet when she goes all out – glamorous dresses, high heels and a confident pose. We love the navy Monique Lhuillier gown she wore to the Oscars, as well as the silver-gray-cream mini dress she wore to the Elle Style Awards. Ditto for the strapless Oscar de la Renta gown she wore to her Twilight premiere. Job well done.

Get the Look:

Get Stewart’s grown-up, glamorous red carpet feel for less. This A.B.S. by Allen Schwartz Sapphire Satin Asymmetrical Flutter dress ($192.00, down from $320) is perfect.

The Misses:

Stewart misses the mark when she wears separates – and sneakers (!?) – on the red carpet. We are not feeling these three outfits – all contain pieces we would totally wear (the distressed jeans and red dress, for example). Her problem here is execution.

If you love Kristen’s red-hot style, try this Susana Monaco Mini Open Back Dress ($105, down from $150). It has a super sexy cut-out back, and comes in black, too.

Kristen should have paired her pretty dress with high heels, not Converse, because that’s the grown-up thing to do. You will love these Express Leather Heels ($98) – they are versatile enough to be worn to work and out at night. Gotta love it.
