Kickstarter, a site where entrepreneurs pitch business ideas and incentivize folks like you and me to back them, is home to some cool ideas, but we think we’ve found the coolest: The World’s Thinnest Watch.
Tech startup Central Standard Timing began work on the project after one of the founders taped an E Ink display on his wrist and said “I want a watch like this.” After many a prototype, the final product is reminiscent of your favorite middle school accessory, the slap bracelet – except a whole lot cooler. As the founders have described it, the watch is simply “time embedded in a band.” The watch weighs less than 5 pennies, features a minimalist design, and a single battery charge lasts for an entire month.
Interest piqued? The watch will retail for $170 when it launches this February, but for $129 you can become a backer and you’ll receive a watch!
