I don't know about you Gossip Girl fans out there – but after the first few episodes of the season I was a little concerned that our beloved "Greatest Show of our Time" was "headed down Sarah Palin's road to nowhere". (My new favorite line from Jeremy Piven on Sunday's Emmy Awards.) Yes, the fashion was fabulous as always but the drama seemed a bit lacking. A predictable Dan and Serena hook-up, a brooding 'mother-Chucker' or 'Bass-hole' if you will, Nate sleeping with a cougar Duchess who then blackmails him, and Blair being a regular gold-digger.
Nothing a very-dramatic breakup of D and S, a return of the old binge-drinking queen Serena, and a few Herve Leger dresses couldn't cure.

She wasn't the only one sporting a tight-fitting Herve-Leger-esque dress this episode. The Duchess (in her hopefully last appearance because that plot line was a bit of a stretch) wore an off-the-shoulder bright green number that looked painted on.
