1) All glass
According to Mashable, Apple Inc. filed a patent for a “glass enclosure” in 2014, and it was approved just one day before the iPhone 7 launch this year. Also, the CEO of Catcher Technology, one of Apple’s iPhone casing suppliers, tells Nikkei that the company is planning an all-glass phone for 2017.
2) Edge-to-edge display
MacRumors is reporting that a totally new design for the front of the iPhone could happen with the next model. “Rumors suggest it’s going to be a radical redesign, with an edge-to-edge display that does away with the top and bottom bezels where features like the Touch ID fingerprint sensor and the front-facing camera are housed. Instead, Touch ID and the camera may be built directly into the display, meaning there will be no Home button.” So, we’d basically have a screen that spans the entire front of our iPhone. Um, COOL. That’s what the future looks like, huh?
3) Wireless charging
A report from Bloomberg claims that Apple is working to have the iPhone 8 charge wirelessly. This would solve the issue with the 7 and 7s of not being able to charge while using headphones. So it would just charge through the air, we guess. Not really sure how this one works but will definitely help the whole losing charger situation.
