Low-res mirror selfies are so 2013. By now, everyone knows which apps and tools to use to snap the best selfies. However, if you have an iPhone, there’s one trick you might not know about. This iPhone setting takes three photos and merges them together for the ultimate shot. Sign us up!

All you need to do is turn on the HDR. When you take a photo using the HDR (high dynamic range) mode, your phone actually takes three: an overexposed (too bright) photo, an underexposed (too dark) photo and one that is somewhere in between. It then combines all three together, removing unwanted tones and enhancing the color, for one stunning photo.

So now that you definitely want to start using this setting, here’s how. When you go to take a photo, just click the HDR letters on the top left of the camera app and you’re ready to go! You can also turn on Auto HDR and your camera will switch to HDR when it senses that the photo needs it.

Let us know if you try HDR and how your selfies turn out!
