celeb fave,
fashion mag cover star AND
spring 2014 bestseller. So it’s no surprise that this highly sought after piece is being knocked off by a ton of designers.
But when you take a look at the original sweater, there’s not much to it. It’s just a ribbed knit pullover with black and white stripes down the front and around the wrists. Why is it gaining this much popularity? We think it has something to do with the contrast of the preppy design and sexy neckline. It’s the anti-prep uniform for anyone who had a school dress code back in the day. And if you didn’t, you can still appreciate this fresh take on a classic varsity sweater style. There’s nothing out there like it! Well, unless you count the knock offs from Nasty Gal, Missguided and Forever21.
